A huge Byzantine castle with 150 towers stands Over town of Alanya. It was built in the thirteenth century and has two rows of walls. In 1471 Alanya was conquered by the Ottoman Empire, and remained within the Turkey borders. The fortress is well preserved ancient Byzantine church, water storage tank and many miles of fortress wall. almost on the beach is situated "Red Tower", which in the past was stronghold endpoint.  It is a symbol of Alanya, its name comes from the red bricks which surrounded the whole. a great view opens from the fortress wall over the "Cleopatra's beach."
