Even if the winter is mild, you do not have to worry about the conditions, as 80% of the tracks are serviced by machines for artificial snow. Even if you are not able to come during the winter, do not worry, as the skiing season in Bansko continues from December to May because of the 170 TechnoAlpin machines for snow and the Kassbohrer machines that help trampling it.

In addition to all this, the skiing experience of the guests is improved by a lighted ski path with the length of 16 km, which connects the higher parts of the resort with the town. The skiers and snowboarders can also use the cabin lift (8 people per a cabin) the 6-seat lift, the six 4-seat Doppelmayer lifts, the 3-seat Poma lift, the six ski-lifts and the ten ski-lifts for children.

As for the sports fans, they can rest assure that they won’t miss the fun –since 2011 Bansko annually hosts a round from the Alpine Skiing World Cup. Apart from it, there are various other competitions, including national cups, events for children, ice sculpturing, championships for snowboarders and skiers, the Balkan Open Cup and various other activities you can take part in or just witness.

Of course, being a major capital resort is not everything Bansko offers. It is also a place where you can immerse in the Bulgarian traditions and culture. On January 1 every year you can enjoy the traditional folklore concert ‘Happy New Year’ and become part of the Bulgarian celebrations. Moreover, four of the 100 National Tourist Sights of Bulgaria are located in Bansko, including the museum of the famous poet Nikola Vaptsarov. Except it, there are 7 more museum and galleries that can help you explore the Bulgarian spirit.

Of course, those who seek partying and nightlife won’t be disappointed. In Bansko you can find everything you need – pubs, bars, dancing clubs and restaurants with international and traditional Bulgarian cuisine.
